Hi efurryone! Today is the final day of August. That means f-a-l-l isn't far off. YAY! We love cool weather. It's been a very long hot summer here, and with the typical Florida weather, we expect that even though the calender says it's going to be the turning into fall soon, we'll still have the 'hots' for awhile. But the other thing that this change signifies is it's almost FOOTBALL season. We hope for a real fun season. Momma has followed footballs since she was a young kit. Her Daddy is from Texas, so he always watched the Cowboys on TV, so she became a cowboy fan. She remembers watching Roger Staubach play and Bullit Bob Hayes (he was billed as the fastest man on earth at the time because he had won an Olympic gold metal in track and field). Bob Hayes is from Jacksonville, which is where Momma is from, he passed on a few years ago, but he is thought of very well in Jacksonville. So yahoo gitty up little doggies it's time for football. Me and Charlie love the summer but that's cos it really wasn't very hot here but autumn is a particularly pretty season with the colours of the leaves and the last flush of blooms!

Yes when the footballs start fall weather is not far behind. Holy Moley it is really too hot up here to imagine playing footfall but the college season begins this weekend.
We are big college ball fans not so much professional...but as you say we wish all the teams a good season with very few injuries.

I haven't watched football for a long time, but when I was married my husband was a huge Cowboys fan! I remember their coach was an older gentleman who always wore a trench coat and hat on the sidelines...I think his name was Tom something?
I also remember trying hard to convince him that we should get some kittens and thought that it would sweeten the deal if I promised to name them Emmitt and Troy! He didn't go for it, so one day I just got fed up and brought Molly home anyway - LOL!

He was quarterback back in the days mama was a football fan. She was a fan until Tom Landry left as coach of the Cowboys....that was the end of mama's football days too. Sometimes she's so silly!!!!!!!!!

Fall is here - it was cold last night so we snuggled on the bed. FAZ
Our mom is from DC, so she is a Redskins fan :) (most of the time!) She and our dad really prefer college football, but they will watch any football!
P.S. Thanks so much for your purrs for Blackie! He is OK but they weren't able to remove the tooth - the vet stopped the surgery because of heart issues. We are thankful that he has such a great vet.
We don't want summer to go because it has only just got warm again. Our summer went away at the end of June.
