The Big Move

See me sitting right in front of a triple stack bookcase? It goes all the way up to the ceiling. It is against the far wall in the computer room or da office. Well earlier this week Mom had a terrible ordeal with ATT(see Mom's rant on the post earlier this week--smoke was coming outta her ears when she wrote that). You see our DSL line is connected behind one of these bookcases (that are bolted together). The customer "NO" service employee said if Mom did not remove the DSL phone line from the wall jack she could not help her any further. Well, Mom had to get Dad to come in and take this bookcase apart (after she removed most of the stuff on the shelves). The stupid ordeal with ATT ended with the intennets coming back on (the next day), but Mom and Dad began to rethink 'da office'.

So you know what they did?

They took everything out of the office and redid it.

We kitties had a great time with all the great stuff that came out of the office.

Now Mom's desk sits right in front of the window and wraps around the wall that the bookcases used to sit on. (NOW they can get to any wire they need to without moving furniture out of the way) Actually Mom has to admit that stupid ordeal with ATT had a silver lining. The office has more space and we have more room to walk on top of the desks. It's a win win situation. Since the desktop computer doesn't work anymore they finally took that out of 'da office' and now just use the laptop. So there is more room for everyone, including finding floorspace they didn't know was in 'da office'!

Life is good!
Happy Sunday!

  6. I am glad there was a silver lining to that mess with ATT. Mom wonders if it would have worked the same if you could have thrown the circuit breaker to that outlet. But maybe you would have ended up having to switch off all the power in the house in the end, which would not have been fun.

  7. Momma hates when she has to call any big company who have those recorded 'press this for that' and 'that for this' thingys, followed by a person who asks you all that crap all over again. She always presses 0 just in case a real person might accidentally come on.

    Hooray for a silver lining!

  11. If it's better for you walking round on the furniture and being able to see out the window Abby we think it was a good thing all that furniture had to be moved! Did you find any old toys hiding behind the cabinets?

  12. Glad your Mom found the silver lining after the AT&T storm! Yep, it's amazing but sometimes just unplugging and then re-plugging the modem fixes everything. Glad everything is working now! xoxo

  15. Oh boy! we are sorry for the ordeal but glad it worked out in the end! Our beans tore apart 'da office' a few months ago. And even though there is still stuff they can throw outs, there is a ton of stuff that did get tossed. And we can walk around in there and the computer desks are all against one wall and mom put a bookcase in front of a window so that we can lay and look out. And we can see both our beans at the same time. :)

  16. That was an awful ordeal for your mom that MY mom remembers going thru a few years ago. She felt awful for your mom. BUT if you guys have more room to walk on the desks and generally take up more room for yourselves..all is well!

  24. Always a good thing to have more floor space, especially if the sun shines on it and you get to enjoy the nice warm spot!
