On Frozen Pond

This was taken the first week in December, notice the fountain is frosty and icy but the water is still moving.
This is how it looks this morning. Yesterday it froze solid and NEVER unfroze. It was that cold all day long.
There is even ice up along the side of the fountain bowl.

The water is frozen completely solid.
The past two days our night time temperatures hovered around 20F.
I know for many that is not that cold.
But we are in Florida.
The past two nights we had record breaking cold.
But today the high will rebound to nearly 60F,and tomorrow nearly 70F.
I don't know about you, but I find the weather patterns:
AMAZING!

  1. That is amazing indeed. I was in Virginia last week with my kids, and I thought I was going to freeze up there. Sarah is finding it very cold. It is cold down here too, but we didn't have lows as low as you did.

The ice is amazing. They were just saying on the news that the farmers down near Okeechobee are not prepared for the freeze like the Plant City strawberry farmers are.

It's beautiful out right now and, as you said, will be up into the 70's tomorrow or the next day.
