Operating A Treadmill

One of the things I promised myself was to get back into a regular exercise routine.
I had been really good up until mid-summer and I nearly stopped completely.
I felt terrible about it.
But...I didn't want to exercise.
The final week of December I told myself THAT is it.
I got back to doing my treadmill.
Abby decided to do the Treadmill with me.
As I was setting everything, she was on the platform sitting, watching me.
So, I slowly started the treadmill at .5mph.
At first she didn't know what to do, but then she started walking, but she noticed she wasn't going anywhere. So she walked a little faster, then she stopped and of course the treadmill took her on a little ride, but before she could fall off she started trotting again.
She did it 3 or 4 times.
Then she jumped off and watched me ramp it up.
My goal is 15-20 miles a week.
It's a very do"able" goal for me.
So far so good...and I feel so much better.

  1. That had to have been so funny to watch! It's cool that she didn't completely freak out. Good luck on your exercise - I could use it myself!

  2. Gemini sits on the handles of the treadmill so she doesn't have to walk and can be with the Woman! We think Abby is funny!

  7. We don't have a treadmill at home, because the folks aren't motivated to do their exercise here. For some reason they prefer to spend money to go to another place and walk on the treadmill there. Go figure!

I would love to see a video of kitty-on-treadmill!

  8. My mommy says she has fallen victim to the same thing. She just didn't. No other words than the treadmill is there..well used.. but not for several months because she just didn't feel like it. So the day before yesterday, she fired it up again and did her weights afterward. Made her feel like a million dollars she said, simply because she DID do it. She didn't yesterday due to oldest son here (that's her excuse and she is sticking by it). So today later she hopes to continue.

  11. We would have loved to see Abby do a work out!
Our Mommy is waiting to get her surgery over with in Feb (Mommy's getting SPAYED!) and then back to working out again. She's been walking but that's all.
