Yes, 4 days into their occupancy next door (the "fleas") I had someone over to give me an estimate on sound-reduction blown-in insulation. $4000 to $4500, which is WAY out of league, beyond all hope.
Just was shamelessly listening in the basement to the mother and son fighting over money (he's 7, remember). Pretty clear down there, and I *think* she might be the step-mother, which would make sense why there are so many problems with him, and why he's telling her to eff-off, etc.
