Thursday In The Garden With Boo

::::::::::::::meoooowwwww:::::::::::::::

Miss Boo says come check out what
Mom got all excited about.
Her camellia bush which had been hidden
by many years of overgrown azaleas
is blooming this year.
Mom cleared out the azalea bushes last summer
and this winter we got blooms!
***
We've had little winter here this year in Florida.
It's been in the 80's.
I know for those who are snowed under
this sounds like paradise, but for those of us
who experience this it just feels like more of the same.
***
We would like to have a bit of winter.
Or at least fall.
I don't think we have much time left for some cooler
weather.
*sigh*

  1. Those camellias are pretty! We DID have some winter here in SoCal - in fact, it was 15 degrees cooler than normal for a few weeks! It finally warmed up today to normal for this time of year for us - high 60s and tomorrow, 70s.

  3. I do miss Florida. srsly. I want to retire somewhere in central or south Florida... ideally, WPB, if I can afford it when the time comes. Can you say cruise ships? :)

We're at a perfectly lovely 68° now but by noon we'll be down to about 57° on our way down to 40° tonight. Thanks a lot, Iago.

  19. The Human LOVES camellias! Her hometown (Sacramento, CA) is supposed to be the camellia capital (of what I am not certain, ha ha ha). She would not like weather that warm all year 'round. Course, SF is COOL all year 'round, so not much variety here either.
