Thankful Thursday In the Garden

We welcome you to Thankful Thursday.

I've been keeping an eye out on what's been going on
around here and it's been kinda noisy.

You see Mom and Dad had these menbeans come
out here with their loud machines and chop up
some of the BIG plants in the garden.

The canopy was raised about 15 feet off of these trees.

OOPS this huge plant had to be totally cut down.

and what was once a giant is...

no longer but a mush of saw dust.

And Mom and Dad groaned a lot on this one.
Does this look like over $6G's to you?
Well it is.
*ouch*
That's a lot of Temptations!
But in Florida it is hard to survive the summer
without any cool air.

So that concludes our unusual Garden stroll today.
We hope you have a great Thursday!

  1. My human knows the price of cool air for sure! She added A/C and heat to the upstairs bedroom area a couple of years ago and it was NOT cheap! She could have bought like 10 really high end cat trees with what she spent!

  2. Well, we looked and looked but we could not find even one "G" in that picture. And we wuz playing those find the hidden object games with Mumsy. Lots of times our paws can find them faster than her fingers. You still gots a very pretty garden :-) And yup, we wuuuuuzzzzz our air conditioning.
Hugs to evfurrybody and kitty kisses.

  3. Ouch is right. We had to get new a/c last year. Our head peep says that at least the monthly power bills went down with a more efficient, newer unit, but we aren't getting more treats as a result of the lower bills, so we don't see the advantage.

  7. A new air conditioner can be expensive but it's an absolute MUST for me! I would do without a whole lot of other things to be sure I had my AC!

We had some trees removed, Spanish Moss removed and the canopy raised on some very mature oaks in central Florida. Yeah... That wasn't cheap either!

But it sure looks lovely when they're donem doesn't it? Yes, indeedy!

    Have a lovely day!

  9. Me-OUCH, that's a lot of green papers to get rid of that tree, but we suppose it is better than having it fall down in a storm or when it is windy.

  17. ummm...that's a lot of "G's" there Abby...but I guess if it helps keep the cooling bill down??

  18. Nothing is cheap these days. We can't imagine all the treats, toys and nip that your humans could have purchased for you guys. Lots of people around here are having to cut their big trees down because they were either uprooted or torn apart in a recent storm with 70 mile per hour winds. Good thing your humans are taking the dead trees down before they cause trouble. Purrs and hugs, Lily Olivia, Mauricio, Misty May, Giulietta, Fiona, Astrid, Lisbeth and Calista Josette
