Thankful Thursday In The Garden

Gracie welcomes you to our
garden this week!

Last week Mom showed you the Momma birdie
sitting on the nest in her double impatient.

Well she went out and this week is what is
peepin!

For the life of her she couldn't get the "money" shot
she wanted.
It was definitely too dark and well the babies were
screaming for food.

The Momma and Daddy birdies were around too!

Then there was this to content with too.

Right after Mom got inside,
it began to pour water out of the sky!

So all the pretty flowers got a nice soaking!
We hope you enjoyed this unusual visit to the
garden and we hope you garden is growing!

Sad news to report.
Since we had crafted this post there is an update.
Yesterday while I was on the back porch.
I heard the parent birds chirping their warning.
I couldn't see anything.
But, I figured there was some danger.
Later on I went to check the nest and
all four chicks are gone.
It must have been a snake.
The parents have still been coming with food
to the nest and it's sad and cruel,
but it's the way of nature.

  12. So, so sad about those baby birdies. We always have nests in our carport, but they are thankfully about 20 feet from the ground. The mommy and daddy birds must be wondering where their kids have gone. We love visiting your garden each Thursday. Thanks for sharing.
