Mancat Monday With Ping

Ping is thanking all the Veterans who keep the "free" in our freedoms all around the world. There are no thanks great enough for those brave souls who have served and are serving us so proudly.
Thank you and Happy Veterans Day!

Today Miss Boo has her ultrasound done. Please keep her in your purrs and if there is any news I will post an update.

The ultrasound was negative!
No intestinal lymphoma!
Yay!

Update...
Boy am I glad to be home! I had not intentionally said too much about Boo because it was a struggle not knowing her outcome. There were so many steps to go through and outcomes that had to be ruled out which is what each of the tests she has had done were doing. For anyone with a feline who has hypercalcimea  there are basically three underlying reasons for it. (1) idiopathic (2) parathyroidism or (3)cancer, usually lymphoma. In Boo's case #2 was ruled out, so that left #1 & #3. The best way to rule out #3 is first an ultrasound and then a biopsy. Because of the type of personality Boo has I opted for her to have the least invasive testing done which would give us the most information. From everything I had read, and what information my two Vets gave me, treatment VS non-treatment methods for Lymphoma (intestinal) are nearly the same in terms of life expectancy. So, I was going to go with the least disruptive route for Boo. Because Boo is terribly afraid of her own shadow, much less invasive procedures. Each us has to decide what is best for our babies based on what they want and of course what we want for them. Thankfully it appears in Boo's case I don't have to worry about this being lymphoma. The Vet is running one more Blood panel and if it comes back negative she says in her mind Boo is cancer free. We'll know that result on Thursday. I do expect it to be negative. Next we will have to treat the hypercalcimea. There isn't a lot of information I found, so if anyone has any thoughts please let me know. I will be doing more research on idiopathic hypercalcimea.
But for now I am just relieved. This has been a very heavy weight lifted off of me. I was so concerned that I would be saying goodbye not just to Abby, but also to Boo and my heart was just beyond the point of finding new ways to experience pain. For all the prayers and for Abby being our true Guardian Angel we give thanks. So many thanks. Now I can cry tears of joy.
