I remember this string.

I would play with Abby by dangling the string

and she would dance and skip with it

on the linoleum  floor.

I still have that string.

I still have nearly everything that Abby touched.

I can't part with it.

Not even now.

I miss my girl.

Hurricane Matthew is meandering it's way towards the Florida coastline.
It's going to hug the coast tightly.
They are thinking it come ashore mid-Florida.
But, no one really knows.
There is mandatory evacuations along the Beaches communities.
Millions of people are on the move.
I hope I've made the right decision to shelter in place.
I am about 40 miles from the Coast.
We will be without power.
No question.
We will have Hurricane force winds so power will go out.
The state is well prepared for that, but 
they cannot start repairing the lines until the storm passes.
Hoping for the best but preparing for the worst.
Anyone in Matthew's path has my prayers for the least 
amount of damage.

27 months

I had not shared the pendant
my husband had made for me.
I wore it all the time when I first
lost Abby, I have found I only
wear it now occasionally. But, it
will always ALWAYS be
precious to me.
It sits in it own silver heart case
with a silver frame of Abby nearby.
I miss you Abby.
I miss you ...
to the moon
and back
again
and again...

Last night on Facebook I found out that Robin 

from Kitten Associates lost her beloved

Gracie to a rare form of cancer.

If you have the chance to stop by 

her BLOG or Facebook if you have an 

account, I know she would appreciate your 

warm thoughts.
