Thankful Thursady In the Garden : The BumbleBee Edition

The bumbles are bumbling all over the garden.
Unless you biggify this you may have a hard time seeing the bumblebee in midflight going straight for one of the agapanthus flower globes.
 Perfect landing.

Going deep for that gooey golden goodness!
Sorry it's a bit blurry. I got startled and I am hand holding the camera and he was quick!
Going in for another landing! You can see the golden pollen on his back legs.
Annabelle is sitting right above the action. The agapanthus are right below this window frame.
 A peek at Abby's Garden.

Thankful Thursday In Abby's Garden

Boo: I want to show you around the new flowerbed Mom put in to honor our beloved Angel Abby.

It's not a very large one, but then Abby wasn't a very big cat.

About a week or so ago, Mom finally went and put in the flowers and the dirt and mulch she had gotten to plant in this flowerbed which sits right outside of our big kitchen picture window. You see Abby used to sit in this window all the time. The sills are only about 10" off the floor, and they are wide enough for all of us kitties to get up into and look out over the back yard. (What little piece of backyard we have...our house sits back on our property, so we have a BIG front yard)

Mom cleared everything out, and trimmed back the few things that were growing in this bed and put fresh dirt down and planted a few things Dad had gotten for her on her birthday.

Mom had the Kitty Crossing marker and she also had the Bless My Kitty statue. She had planned to put Abby's granite marker here but when she got it it was just too nice to go outside, so she is working on something else special for Abby. She also had the butterflies sitting on our back steps so she added those into the bed because she felt Abby would really like that.

Mom has forgotten the names of the flowers she put in, except for the hosta. Just like Mom, her mind, what little there is left is slowly leaving her head.

This plant was in another part of the yard and Mom just moved it. The butterflies like to visit it.

Bless This Kitty.

Thank you for visiting with us on our special garden tour.We hope you enjoyed it. Mom thinks Abby would approve and we are definitely leaving room in our hearts and in our garden for angels to dance.
