Real Beauty

This was posted Christmas Eve 2011. The message is still true, but this year I do not have everything I ever wished for. My wish will not be granted this year. Even though it won't I know in my heart that all I could have ever asked for I was given for 8 years. As painful as it will be for me this year without my darling Abby I cannot help but be grateful for the years we had. Nothing can ever take those precious memories away and they are treasured even more as I look back over the past Christmases.

Look around this season.....

Past the lights

the tree,
the presents.

You'll see the real beauty.
Look around and be reminded,
That while gifts are always nice,
we all probably have everything we've ever wished for.
