Thankful Thursday

Welcome to our Thankful Thursday!
 Annabelle is simply thankful.
 And Joyful!
 And all about having fun!
Huh? What's that?
Well Annabelle I thought I had found a dead bumblebee on the agapanthus leaf.
But as I focused in on him, he awaken and flew away.
So that is why this is a little blurry. See the pollen on his back leg?
I am not sure which one of us was more alarmed.
 Petunias
Can you see the teeny tiny bug on the flower petal?
My glorious Agapanthus. These are such a staple in warmer climates. They just handle hot and cold so well. Last year I replanted several flower beds with them. When we lost the Pyracantha last year to root rot I had to replace the entire bed which spanned about 30 feet. That was a lot of digging and replanting. But this year the Agapanthus have grown and are blooming their literal heads off. Those flower globes are so beautiful.

So here's hoping you have a beautiful Thankful too!

Thankful Thursday: Cats and Gardens

Be kind
Be thoughtful
Be geninue
but most of all be Thankful.
Annabelle is surveying on the back of chair on the porch. It brings back memories of Gracie. She loved to be in that exact spot napping.
A rose, one of zillions. OK, I exaggerate but these roses are prolific in my yard. I have to keep pruning them as they grow to the heights of close to 5 foot and they would grow taller if I left them alone. But I have to be able to reach them!
 Beautiful April clouds.
Some of my pink roses. Photos from 2012 I had not published but were too beautiful not to share.
Some more images from the same photo file in 2012.

Here's hoping your garden is growing with love.

Thankful Thursday

Welcome to our Thankful Thursday in the Garden. Last year sometime after Abby left us I found this  cute little chubby concrete kitty. It's small and round and it made me think of her so now this kitty blesses our garden and gives me memories of Abby.
Annabelle is locked in on something. Probably a bird.
Things are blooming like crazy around here. Lots of pretty color.
We hope your gardens are fairing as well.
And I leave you with Annabelle parting Raspberry.
Or maybe she's telling Mom to stop with the Flashy Beast!
The girl would lose if tongue if it weren't attached.
Happy Thankfuls!

Thankful Thursday

Welcome to our Thankful Thursday. We are out in the Garden again, and look who's itching to get out there with us?
Yes Miss Annabelle is set on GO!
One of the newly planted flowers in Abby's little garden.
 Starting to fill in!

Mom rescued her rooster. This was my Grandmothers and I've had it in one flower bed or another since she passed away. It had fallen down and actually had fallen off it's perch, so Dad fixed it so it would stand up straight(er). Now Mom put it in Abby's little garden. Lots of memories to think about.

Thankful Thursday

Welcome to Thankful Thursday
Annabelle goes into high alert mode.
 Oh it's just Mom.
This was the funniest thing. I wanted her to look straight at me so I started 'meowing' at her. I was not suppose to be meowing. I got the above look. What are you doing? You're NO cat. She actually had to sniff me to make sure I was still "momma"!
A little froggy trying to dodge the raindrops!
Just as I was taking the picture (and I moved btw) the drop of rain began to fall from the leaf.

I just thought even in it's imperfection the camellias were beautiful. Hoping your Thursday is as Thankful.
