First Day In Heaven

Baby Annie

Beautiful Annie

Annie and her Dad at the computer

Annie playing in wrapping paper.

We lost a good friend, it was Annie from Forty Paws. Annie was a sweet gorgeous tabby girl. She had just celebrated her 12th purrday on June 27th. It was her best birthday ever! Even though she had received some unfavorable Vet results on June 23 she still was happy and eating on her purrday. Annie was rescued by Maw and Pa as a teeny tiny baby, in fact she was so small that she had to be bottle fed. Maw could not let Annie go up for adoption because Annie had taken her heart. Annie loved sitting by her Maw or Pa when they were using the computer and she loved playing with wrapping paper or newspaper and hiding underneath it. We know that both Gatsbi and Bow welcomed Annie at the Bridge along with so many others who have gone on ahead of us. WE believe yesterday that Annie was restored back to her youth and full health. We know she is running free and happy. Even though we are all shedding our tears because she is no longer on this earthly plane with us. Annie you were so well loved and cared for, you had a great family and an extended one in the blogosphere. YOU will be missed by all of us who loved you so. You continue to play with the newspapers and eat that fine Costco chicken and when our times comes we know you will there to welcome us home.

Please drop by and leave Maw and Pa a head bump or whisker kiss.
Their hearts are aching and they are missing precious Annie terribly.
Our hearts go out to them....

Poem For Cats
And God asked the feline spirit
Are you ready to come home?
Oh, yes, quite so, replied the precious soul
And, as a cat, I am most able
To decide anything for myself

Are you coming then? asked God.
Soon, replied the whiskered angel
But I must come slowly.
For my human friends are troubled.
For you see, they need me, quite certainly.

But don't they understand? asked God
That you'll never leave them?
That you souls are intertwined for all eternity?
That nothing is created or destroyed?
It just is...forever and ever and ever.

Eventually they will understand,
Replied the glorious cat.
For I will whisper into their hearts
That I am always with them
I just am...forever and ever and ever.
