Is It Over Yet?

It's been a wild two weeks for Miss Annabelle.
But, it's probably longer than that because we all
know how well cats hide their pain.
I say that because of the amount of weight she had lost.
I believe she had cut back on her eating by a lot
because her mouth was bothering her with that
abscessed tooth. I won't ever know but that's what I
suspect.
But the Vet (unscheduled) visit was April 11th and
then all the fall out from the antibiotics or pain meds or
both gave Annabelle a gastro upset which made her
feel awful. Then her Dental work wasn't able to be
scheduled until April 21.
I had to take her in at 7:30 am but the dental didn't begin
until after 1pm. HUH?
To be expected she's sore and swollen and eating
little meals. I know she's miserable but I keep
hoping for that morning where she turns the corner.
She has dissolvable stitches. Does anyone know
(I read that it can take up to a month)
how long they take to dissolve?
My interaction with the actual "Vet" has been
a big fat "0".
Even when the dental was done it was the tech calling
me. The tech has been great but I've only spoken to
a Vet once for about 3 minutes when Annabelle was
first looked at. I don't like this approach,
especially since I had called and asked to directly
speak to the Vet because I had questions.
The tech apologized and gave me the excuse
that the Vet had emergency surgery and couldn't call,
so that's why she was calling me.
Ummmmm....really?
Sounded like an excuse.
But that's all water under the bridge and the only
thing I can do is find another Vet.
Always something. Always.
At this point I just want Annabelle to feel more
like herself again, and be healthy.
