Nose to nose

Mom wanted to give everyone an update.
Over the last few weeks Mom has been kinda MIA.
She has been involved in helping her family with a medical issue.
Her brother was being evaluated by Mayo Clinic in Florida for a liver transplant.
The good news is, he is not a candidate for one at this time.
He will need careful monitoring for the rest of his life.
His condition was caused by an underlying genetic component.
Mayo Clinic is very through in their assessments, and in they did find that my brother has a serious heart condition, also hereditary.
So one hand God gave us great news and on the other he gave us a challenge.
He will need to undergo more testing to see where that condition leads.
So, Mom has been undergoing testing herself as both of these issues were genetic.
Part one was simply a blood test.
Amazing what your blood can tell about your health.
Mom is still not sure that is a closed subject, but time will tell.
Earlier this week she had an echocardiogram on her heart.
The technician casually said it didn't look like she had anything to worry about, but we'll have to wait until she talks with the doctor.
So we ask you indulgence for more prayers and purrs for her Brother.
He first was given what he thought was life ending news about his liver. Then he was involved in an auto accident where an elderly lady ran a red light and his car demolished. Thankfully at the time we all thought he wasn't injured, now we are not sure. Then he had to go though several weeks of intensive testing at Mayo. He then was given a lot of hope about his liver condition which lead to great big sighs of relief, only to have those hopes dashed by an underlying serious heart condition.
We all have crosses to bear but it sure seems like he got more than his share.
But Mayo has been incredible and I hold hope that they will help him again.
