Friday Felines

Seems like this has been an all girls week!

Well the boys will be jealous.

But a lovely close up of the ever gorgeous 

Miss Boo.

Miss Boo

There are behaviors of Boo which I find hard to explain.

She is a different cat when she is alone with me.

I've always felt like she would prefer to be an "only" cat.

But she isn't, so it's like she has split personalities.

She will seek me out for attention when

no other cat is around.

One of her new ways to get my attention is

to pat my foot with her paw when she wants to be petted.

She has only recently begun to do this.

It is so endearing.

She has always been a visitor when I am online and will sit

next to me on the desk and pat my arm (to pet her),

but the foot tapping is new.

She is a dichotomy of aloofness and attachment,

on any given day I never know what to expect.

Timidity

If you didn't know her, you might think she was

scared out of her mind.

But, Boo is a timid cat.

Even 13 years with living me has not

eased that essence of her.

I wish she felt more secure.

You see Boo would like nothing more 

than to be an only cat.

In fact, she thrives when she and I turn in at night.

She is loving and talkative and very

interactive. But when she is out and 

about all day with the other cats, she 

reverts back to her lone cat and she 

will give out a good hiss to both her brothers.

She doesn't hiss at Annabelle.

But then, Annabelle gives her a wide berth.

Although Annabelle does give her a good

chase nearly everyday, and Boo will also

gives chases to each of other cats.

She is not afraid of them at all, she 

just doesn't want to be bothered by them.

Laps

There's been a change in Miss Boo.

Boo has always been a very independent cat.

She's aloof, like many cats are.

It is just her personality.

But, lately she has decided she likes

to sit in my lap.

Mind you, all the years Abby was here

Abby held court in my lap, and

Boo played second fiddle.

Did she mind?

I never knew if she did, she didn't show it.

After Abby left us, Boo got closer to me.

She began wanting to sleep next to me every night

(and still does).

When Annabelle arrived she took over the

nightly lap duties.

Again, Boo did not appear to mind.

But out of the blue, Boo has

decided she wants some lap time too.

14 years.

Who knew?

Lumps of Coal

If the days won't allow us to see each other, memories will, and if my eyes cannot see you, my heart will never forget.

For Sammy always in our hearts.

COME FLY WITH ME day
in honor of Sammy who loves to travel.

This is Anastasia Island pier.
It is the Island off of St Augustine, FL.
This was when we had Hurricane Earl
pay a visit, but he was way off out
in the Atlantic.
It's a beautiful spot Sammy,
and I think you would really enjoy
visiting.

Boo In The Sunshine

Miss Boo curled up in the window sill

gives Mom a loving look while she is at the computer.
