Gracie
I purchased this little cat bed thinking that all the cats would enjoy it.
To this day the only one who has ever shown any interested
was Gracie.
This was taken of Gracie on Oct 23,2013 around 7pm.
This is our first Christmas season since 2005 without Gracie.
Our second without Abby.
Much comes and goes, ebbs and flows.
The holidays have high points and low ones.
Always remember those who are no longer here in their
physical forms.
Hold tight to the ones who are.
Miss you dearest Gracie Grace.
10 months today.

Annabelle's Antics: Remembering
I don't have that many photos of Annabelle and Gracie together.
This was taken the day before Gracie left us for the RB.
It was a beautiful winters day and both girls were enjoying being outside.
9 months have passed and although I know there was no other
options,it still gives me pause that Gracie is not still here with us.

Candles In The Wind
and it seems to methat you lived your life
like a candle in the wind
never knowing who to cling to
when the rain set in....
In 2007 we did a remembrance from blog to blog to our beloveds. With so much sadness and recent losses Kashim, Othello and Salome from Three Cats In Vienna suggested we link paws and remember them again with love and sweetness.Today I am remembering Mr Kitty the feral kitty who came as quickly as he left. He was such a sweet boy and how I wished he had not been so afraid. Another who came and left us too quickly was our girl Button. Button was a tortie who had been abandoned at a shopping mall. She followed me home one night and became our "workshop" cat. She refused to come inside, and she disliked other cats. She enjoyed spending her nights in her Dad's workshop. Every morning she was let out and then she would roam into the woods that sit up against our property. One bright Saturday morning in 2006 I let her out of the shop and saw her wander off towards the woods. When I came home that afternoon, I called her and waited but she didn't come. I waited and then called some more. I became worried and started looking for her. But sadly she was not to be found. The only thing that I can tell you is that she led us to Gracie who we saved from Animal Care and Control. But I know Button had a host of medical problems one of which was a back injury which the Vet said probably came from being thrown from a car. It healed on it's own. But she walked with a strange gait and she didn't like you to touch her in certain spots. But she was a feisty little thing, with a lot of tortie-tude.
We miss you Button.
We hope you found the love you so deserved with us.
We miss you too Mr Kitty.
We were never able to give you the home and care and love you deserved, but we tried.
