Thankful Thursday In The Garden

It's another beautiful day in the Garden.

Abby says she is going to take you on a stroll through some of our
gardens this week.

Mom said she walked by the kitchen window and saw this,
so she grabbed her camera and ran outside.
All of the Lilies of the Nile are in bloom right now.

Aren't they gorgeous?

Can you see? There is a little birdie on a nest inside of one
of Mom's hanging baskets.

Back of the nest.

Mom does not know what these pretty yellow flowers are
(black eyed susans???)
but they are beautiful.

Mom got these planters where you can plant from the side of
the planter and it fills out quicker.
Mom thought they were different so she tried them out.
She really likes how they are filling out.

We hope you've enjoyed our brief trip around our garden.
Tomorrow is the official First Day of Summer.
We hope it is beautiful where you are.
It's hard to believe that June is nearly over!
Happy Gardening efurryone!

Thankful Thursday In the Garden

We welcome you to Thankful Thursday.

I've been keeping an eye out on what's been going on
around here and it's been kinda noisy.

You see Mom and Dad had these menbeans come
out here with their loud machines and chop up
some of the BIG plants in the garden.

The canopy was raised about 15 feet off of these trees.

OOPS this huge plant had to be totally cut down.

and what was once a giant is...

no longer but a mush of saw dust.

And Mom and Dad groaned a lot on this one.
Does this look like over $6G's to you?
Well it is.
*ouch*
That's a lot of Temptations!
But in Florida it is hard to survive the summer
without any cool air.

So that concludes our unusual Garden stroll today.
We hope you have a great Thursday!

Thankful Thursday In The Garden

::::::::::::::Meoooowwwwwww::::::::::::::

Welcome to this week's addition to
Thankful gardening.

Mom and Dad have been hard at work.
I've been given the task of snoopervising.
I'm real good at that.
See my no nonsense face??

Mom didn't get a true "before" they started tearing out the
azalea bushes.
But there were three very mature ones that will be relocated
to another part of the yard this spring.

Mom finally got her camellias bushes planted.
She also has several different types of lavender
and over 20 different amaryllis bulbs planted.
She also added her ever favorite lily of nile too.

This area is a work in progress. It still is needing
some touches.
Mom is still weeding it and will add
some more color and of course some mulch.

See our garden kitty?
There are actually three in here.
One is a stake kitty it's the white one, and she also
has a kitty stepping stone.

Thank you for visiting with us this week.
We enjoyed showing you what Mom has been up to.
She wants to get all of the planting done before it gets too hot.
Enjoy your gardens!

Thankful Thursday In The Garden

:::::meowwwwww::::::

Welcome to Thankful Thursday.
We are thankful because Spring is starting to begin it's
annual blooms around here.
The redbud trees is filled with lots of new life!

Our azaleas are going strong.

The ever lovely camellias.

And pretty yellow flowers that Mom forgot the name of.
She is good at forgetting.
These are new.
She had planted them after what she thought was our last
freeze, and it froze again.
Luckily these pretty flowers survived.

I just watch her with bemusement.

Thanks for stopping by.
