Thankful Thursday

We're thankful that Ping can relax so well out in the Garden!

Today we remember those orphaned, abandoned and homeless animals
with the #LightForPets on Remember Me Thursday.

We are also joining Pepi Smart Dog for this week's Thankful Thursday.
We truly have so much to be thankful for.
All of us are rescues, abandoned in one form or another, so our thankfulness
comes straight from the heart.
Please light a candle in support for Remember Me Thursday.

Thankful Thursday In The Garden

To plant a Garden
is to believe in
tomorrow
~Audrey Hepburn

Welcome to this week's Garden tour. Ping will be your guide.
Ping you look a bit focused there buddy.
Umm could it be all the pretty colorful flowers peaking Ping's interest?
More likely a lizard or bug.
This is my all time favorite photo of the agapanthus taken last year with some sun flare.
And Abby. My last series of photographs of her 2 days before she fell seriously ill.

Hope to see you next week in our Garden.

Thankful Thursday

Ping says WELCOME one WELCOME all!

He's happy to show you around our garden.
Yes, we still have blooms. It's pretty normal for our roses to bloom year round.
Even though it turned cold and dreary for about 36 hours, we're supposed to go right back up into the low 80's by the weekend. Weeeeeeeeeee this is Florida weather!

Still some pentas getting some nice rays from the sun.

A golden lady bug who was scurrying so fast I could barely photograph her.

A brief glimpse of Abby's garden.

We send you many blessings from our Angel who has stood watch in our garden for many years.

We hope you have enjoyed our brief Garden tour and we hope you are still able to enjoy all the seasons of your Garden.

Thankful Thursday In The Garden

Welcome to the beginning of Fall into the Garden this season.

I love the way that the Japanese Maple turns bright red in Autumn.

It is just so vibrant and beautiful.

Ping says: Mom it's just a leaf.
Geesh!

But pretty nevertheless Ping.

We all hope your Garden is doing well transitioning from Summer towards Fall.
As life transitions so does Nature.
We have moved away from our summer of Loss to a quieter time of Fall.
Soon we will all be cocooned into the coldness of Winter.
It will serve as a time of reflection for the ManxMnews house.
We hope like the butterfly which emerges in Spring, so we shall find a renewed life seeping  back into our lives. Mom is coping with her loss of Abby, and she finds the struggles a challenge. Even though she is moving forward, she is still so poignantly melancholy in her soul. But Mom knows that this is the way of growth and transition. She will emerge different, and that the passage will not be easy. But upheaval causes great evolution. One day at a time.
We wish you a thankful heart during the change of seasons.

Dad is having his surgery today we ask for your purrs and prayers.
Mom will try and update as she can and may her commenting may be spordiac.

Thankful Thursday In The Garden

Welcome this week to our Garden.
I am the Garden Cat again this week.
Come with me and let's check out how
things are blooming.

Mom went out early and took pictures of
everything after a rain from last night.

Close up of a rose leaf.

One tiny droplet of rain on a rose petal.

Dripping Lily of Nile

The drops look so huge, but in reality they are so small.

Drip drip drip

Everything in nicely covered in refreshing water.

A rose in silhouette.

Beautiful Angel Abby asleep in her chair from 8-7-13.

Ping: It is still sad around our house,it's only Day 17 without
Abby, and Mom is doing the best she can. We know to be patient
with Mom. She loves all of us, but her heart just cries out for Abby.
We all do the best we can for our Momma. This is a long long journey we are all
on together and we'll continue onward but we can't help but miss
what is no longer here.

Thursdays In the Garden With Ping

:::::Meowwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww::::::

Ping says Welcome everyone to our garden tour this week.

Ping: Momma still has a very heavy heart and we're all trying
our meowest to help ease her sadness. But she still finds solace
in the garden and photography. Although she found it very hard
the first time she uploaded a file to her computer that didn't have any
pictures of Abby. There will be very few files now that have
Abby in the title. Another reality check of life.
She knows she has all of us, and she is grateful for that. She tells
us all everyday how grateful she is to the four of us. But somehow
it just isn't quite the same. Boo is still being quite the caregiver to
Momma and she takes great comfort in all Boo is doing.

The lavender smells wonderful!
If only we had smell-o-vision!

Pretty Dahlia.

Momma's pretty lily of the nile.
Still blooming their heads off all over the yard.

Thank you for visiting with us this week in the Garden.
We hope your week in the Garden has been lovely.

Thankful Thursday In The Garden

Ping welcomes you to our garden this week.

Wow look at all those pretty flowers...errr
squirrels.

It's gardenia time.
This bush is full from top to bottom.
It's so full it's making the limb bow.
This bush was my Grandmother's.
She had it in a small pot, and when she died, I took many
of her plants including this one.
I planted it in the yard.
It has grown ten fold since I've had it since 2002.
But,it reminds me of her and I think she would
love to see how well it is doing.

An itty bitty insect.

Thank you for visiting with us this week.
We enjoyed sharing what is currently blooming
in our garden, what's in yours?

UPDATE:
My sweet Boo has been vomiting now for several days.
I had hoped it would pass.
But it hasn't.
So she is off to her Vet today at 4PM EST.
Please keep her in your purrs.

Thankful Thursday In The Garden

Ping welcomes you to this week's venture into
Thankful Thursday.

Mom and Dad bought a new plant.
Well I guess it's a plant.
It's kinda big.

They dug a big hole for this Japanese maple.

They also dug some holes for those hostas and
impatients.

Mom loves hostas.
But she got bit by yellow flies doing this.
Mom does not like yellow flies.
They will not stop until they bite you
and they leave a nasty mark.

But the knockouts are well knockouts.

Mom said bad words at that critter.
Because he eats her plants.
Especially her hostas.

We hope you enjoyed this week in our garden.
How is yours?
