Thursday In The Garden

::::meow:::
Here is our amaryllis bed this year.

These two pictures are from the current year (above) and previous year (below).
I can see that I had a fuller bed last year, I don't know why.
Perhaps it's because we had a very very VERY dry winter.

But nevertheless the flowers are starting to bloom.
I took this series right after a wonderful rain.

And of course I could not resist a few close ups because
well that's how I roll.
:::Grin:::

And now the full beauty.

And of course helpful eyes.

Don't forget to swing by and visit Jonesie and check out how his garden is doing! We all hope you enjoyed our newly emerging garden.

They are teeny tiny little mini bouquets.
They only bloom a very short time each year.

Oh hi there Mr Bee. Doing your thing I see.

One of Mom's pink roses.

And we hope you will stop in and visit Jonesie for the true Jedi Master Gardener.

Thursday In The Garden

Mom's roses are blooming.

She loves the leaves as much as the flowers themselves.

Especially super duper close.
Aren't those droplets of dew exquisite?

And there is nothing more beautiful than a rose.
(WELL except me! Abby)

Thursdays In The Garden With Miss Boo

::::3 paw taps::::

Miss Boo here. I want to show you around my patio area. Here are some of my pretty double impatients. I like pink. Pink is definitely a girly color and I think it looks good on my sleek black furs.

Here is Mom's bougainvillaea. It hasn't bloomed yet this year, I wonder if it will have pink flowers? Oh I hope so. I love pink, did I tell you that already?

This is what I see everyday when I lay upon my platform you can see it behind me in that first picture of me, it has more impatients and some spider plants.

Mom has some peppers growing!

I have forgotten the names of these but aren't they are pretty purple color?

Mom tore off the name of this plant, but she really likes the dark purple stripe of the leaves. (DOES anyone know what this is?) Oh I do see my catnip in the upper right hand corner though!

That is some of the things I get to see every day in my garden.
I hope you enjoyed my little tour.

Thursday in The Garden Part

:::::3 paw taps::::
One of our newest kitties we added to our yard. Aren't they sweet?

Don't you love the color of the hydrangea? I love the off white with tints of green, lavenders and turquoise.

My late Grandmother's gardenia bush which she had potted but I planted it right outside our back porch. So I can see it every day. Love it when it blooms. It was filled with lots of blooms this year.

Beautiful red rose.

And Ping talking to me the entire time I was outside.

Thursday in The Garden Part

::::3 paw taps:::

Look at this crazy thing Mom brought home.

Mom there is no catnip on this thing.

But it glows in the dark...what kinda kitty is this? It comes to my house with no nip and it glows?

Ping sure took a liking to it though.

Hey what are you doing out there Welcome Kitty?

Better out there than in here, you didn't bring any nip and you didn't have much to meow about.
For more Thursday's In the Garden please check out Master Gardner Jonesie and maybe you'll find some kitties who knew how to meow in their gardens this week!
