An Oldie But A Goodie

***
It is with great sadness that another of our
cats has left us.
Lily White from Cats Of the Wild Woods
flew away to the Bridge yesterday.
If you can please stop by and offer
some kind purrs and prayers.

***
We will always remember Lily.

We choose to surround ourselves with lives
more temporary than our own,
live within a fragile circle.
easily and often breached.
Unable to accept its awful gaps,
we would still chose to live no other way.
We cherish memory as the only
certain immortality, never fully
understanding the necessary plan.

Wordless Wednesday with Gracie AND Blogoversary

OOPS!
How could she?
She forgot what today was?
ha ha ha ha!
Mom forgot this was the day 7 years ago she started blogging.

Mom would lose her head if it weren't attached.
We are grateful for the CB for reminding us!!!

***
Mom started this blog as a way to keep her memories intact.
Back in 2005 there weren't many cat blogs.
There was no CB.
Blogging was a new shiny brass penny.

***
Abby had been adopted in June of 2005 and I started an offline journal.
In fact, my journal began as my "search" for Abby.
When I began looking online for a 'journal' I found Blogger.
I found a few bloggers like Timothy and Max and many that are no longer blogging anymore.
We've seen so many changes over the years, and the best is in the influx of new cat
bloggers.

***
When this begun, it never occurred to me that bringing all of you into our hearts
would be such a blessing.
We never realized that there would such heartwarming joy to see new kitties added and such
poignant heart rending moments of when our dear friends pass to the Rainbow Bridge.
I am also realizing as time goes by, too quickly I might add, that our day will come to cross
over into that magical spot and it gives me pause to know that it will come sooner
rather than later.

***
But for now I wish to celebrate our 7th year.
We are coming up on our 2500 posting.
Who knew?
Thank you all for being on this journey with us!
