Mr. Sensitive

Ping is our sensitive boy. When he first arrived he would not let us within 6 feet of him. It took awhile to earn his trust. Once earned he would follow you anywhere. Ping strolls around with his tail pointed high and "talks" incessantly. The thing he likes to do most is play, and play, and oh did I say play? He has such a sweet gentle personality, home would not be home without our boy Ping.

Fun Fun Fun "til Mama Takes The Catnip Away

This is Abby's favorite toy. She especially loves to roll all over it when I put catnip on it. She becomes so enthusiastic that she falls off and rolls all over the floor, and then hops right back on to do it over and over again, until all the catnip is consumed. She will play endlessly , who could have thought corragated cardboard could be this much fun? You never need to spend much money on toys for cats, they always seems to enjoy the simplest things.

Suddenly Last Summer

Last summer we were pet-less. One sultry august night through the bedroom window we heard some faint meows. Thinking it was one of the neighborhood cats we didn't pay it any mind. Later that week, we were doing some yard work, and lo and behold in our front entry lay two cats. We woke them and they looked at us for some kindness. As soon as the food arrived a third cat popped out of the bushes, and so began the Odyssey. Boo, Jinx and Ping had arrived.

Saving Gracie

We lost our kitty Button, a tortie who adopted us as a stray on July 16th. To cover all the bases we visited animal control one afternoon. I have to say, this was one of the WORST experiences I have had. All of these beautiful animals with no home and abandoned. Why do people think of animals with such a throw away mentality? While we waited at the shelter there was this young tabby female who was outside the front door. She was begging everyone who approached the door for attention. She was so sweet, you couldn't help but to be touched by her personality. When we inquired about her the shelter personnel said she had been dropped off the prior week, and did we want her? We were there to look for our lost Button, so we demurred on our answer, but we couldn't help but watch this little girl try to get someone to interact with her. Of course Button wasn't at the shelter, and we were both emotionally spent after seeing all of those animals. As we left, we had to go by the front door. My husband turned to me and said, do we take her home? Yes, Gracie.

Opposites Attract

Jinx is our grey tabby who is the littermate to Ping. Ping and Jinx are total opposites. Where Ping is athletic and spry, Jinx is laid back and a big teddy bear. Jinx has two favorite activities; eating and sleeping. Jinx is a very soulful kitty; nothing bothers him. When Ping gets a wild hair he will chase Jinx all over the house and they will roll and tumble like acrobats. Then afterwards it's time to take a nap.

PING-A-LING

Ping is a red tabby who is nearing his second birthday. He is one part of the original trio who came to us last summer. Ping is a highly sensitive cat, who vocalizes almost constantly. He lives to play, and he is very athletic, he can jump 4 feet straight up in the air. He is most adventuresome, and that has landed him in some tight spots. He is such a sweet natured boy who needs lots of reassurance, but he is in the right home for that. Ping gets lots of love which he so generously returns.

MISS Boo

Miss Boo is Abby's younger sister. Last summer, Boo and her brothers, Ping and Jinx adopted us. They showed up at our doorstep and one thing led to another, and we became a ready made family. Boo is about 18 months old now. She is a very sweet docile polite little tuxedo girl. She is small in stature but big in heart. She is the reason why I wanted to find another girl tuxedo to adopt, and that is how Abby came into our lives. When I laid eyes on Abby, I knew she was the right girl for our family. As you can see from the photos Abby and Boo are nearly identical in their markings.

Meet the Manx

This is about my Abby. Abby is a 6 year old miniature tuxedo manx. She is quite a colorful character and a true joy to our lives. Abby was given up for adoption because she was too affectionate, and she needed attention her former owners didn't feel equipped to give. She is a very loyal loving little girl. She is only 4 1/2 pounds. Abby was adopted into our household of 4 other cats. She is transitioning into her new surroundings, which she is finding challenging. She has become the alpha cat by asserting herself to the other cats. She has two adopted sisters, Boo who is a 1 1/2 year old tuxedo kitty, Gracie is a 6 month old tan and black tabby, her two adopted brothers are Ping, who is a red Tabby and finally Jinx who is a grey tabby.
