Update 2 on Mr Jinx

Mr Jinx has been doing fabulous today.
He has been using his tail and he is holding it upright.
He definitely can move it side to side, tail to tip with no problem.
When he held it up high I got a better look at his "boo boo".
*ouchie*
Whatever he got it caught in, it did him in.
But strangely enough, the metacam the Vet prescribed, he loves.
Yesterday when the Vet gave it to him he licked the syringe.
(and she laughed at him)
This morning when I gave him his dose he licked it again.
So I guess I will make him happy one more day, tomorrow is his
final dose.
We are so thankful for all your purrs and concern.

  18. We missed blogging yesterday & so much happened! We are so sorry to read about Mr. Jinx's tail. Did the vet think he got it caught in something? Its good news he's liking his medicine and holding his tail higher. Here's to a full recovery soon. Poor guy! If his fur was pulled out when it happened, maybe you will be able to figure out what happened if you find his fur. We hate when kitties get hurt and we have no idea how it happened, cause how do you stop it from happening again? Miss Oui Oui banged her eye last year and that's one mystery that will never be solved either.

  23. That's really great news! Metacam brings down the swelling real quick. Whisky used to be on it but we can't get it locally any longer. I was always under the impression oral Metacam isn't recommended for cats. Rather, cats are given the Metacam injection.
Have you told your Mom how you got the boo boo?
