Abby says she got her cabinet back...she scratched tested it for future use.

Stage One Nearly Completed

As you can see I am giving my Ping Seal of Approval to our now nearly completed floor. It is nice and cool which is what I love the most about it. Plus it matches my furrs, don't you think?
Momma is furry happy and thinks it turned out better than she had dreamed it would.
But, like with the floor there has been some new developments. The cabinets were supposedly arriving August 19th. Daddy tore out dem ol cabinets and Momma lost her cookin spot on August 12th. Well the delivery date for the cabinets was changed to August 25th. Then we got a noo schedule yesterday for all the otter stuffs dat they have to do. Well guess what? We got informed that the cabinets would be here August 26th 'bout 9AM. Guess what? Den we got informed dat the truck which is way up in Georgia hadn't left da premises, so we is supposedly gittin cabinets late dis afternoon. WE will believe dat when we sees da truck pulls up and our cabinets are in da back. So yoo knoos what dis means? It means dat dee lost installation time for yesterday AND today. So yoo knoos what else dat means? It means dat silly schedule has been changed again and efurryfing has been pushed back by anutter day. We knoos goin in dat der wood be deelays but sumfing doesn't quite sound rite to us. We don't quite knoos what it is but...well anyways we is havin to wait and be patient cuz it's gonna be a while longer until we gits sumfing goin on!

I give dem beans two paws up on the workmanship so far...tomorrow this first phase will be finished and then we get noo cabinets! Momma is all excited!

Bella's Story

Please Help Bella's Story Hi - My name is Bella. A very nice lady rescued me from an abusive home and took me to Happy Endings. The bad people had tried to de-claw me with a pair of pliers. Happy Endings took me to veterinarian and the X-rays showed both of my wrists were broken. Luckily, I still have feeling in my toes, but the bones never healed back together and that is why my paws flip forward and backward. I need to see a specialist - an orthopedic - who can help mend my bones so I can play like other kitties do. My surgery will cost up to $8,000 and we need donations so I can have my surgery. I am an adorable and sweet girl. I just need a little help and a home with people who love me. Update 8/18/09 -- Bella is up-to-date with routine shots. Update 7/13/09 -- Bella made a trip up to the vet school in Madison last week. They agreed with the first orthopedic specialist on both the extend of damage to Bella's legs and to the total cost. They also said that if Bella was made to continue to live this way, she would end up with extremely painful arthritis. The do not believe that the attempted de-claw broke her legs, but no one knows the extend of abuse she has suffered. Despite her very difficult start in life Bella remains sweet and affectionate. Please help us take care of this wonderful cat. Update 6/12/09 -- Bella made her first trip to the orthopedic specialist yesterday. The vet stated that she may have jumped, fell or been thrown from a high height. That is how she broke her legs. Unfortunately she not only has damage to the bones in her legs, but also the ligaments. That means her surgery will be more than we first thought. According to the estimate it will be $3,000 - $4,000 to fix each leg. That is a grand total of $6,000 - $8,000. We are committed to making the best decisions to give this wonderful girl a full life, can you please help us to make sure she gets the care she needs? Update 5/29/09 -- A recent trip to the vet revealed that both of Bella's front legs were broken at least a month ago. This sweet girl now needs your help to get the vet care she needs. The surgery is around $2000, and we need help paying for the surgery. She is so young and so sweet we can not allow her to spend the rest of her life this way. Won't you please send us a least a few dollars to help Bella? Bella's name sure fits her. She is not only cute, but she is special. Bella's front paws do not work very well. She appears to have been born this way, but she was rescued from an abusive home. We are not sure what this little lady went though, but we are sure of one thing, we will never let her get hurt again. Please help.

You Need to Listen

Last night Momma was messin with my pawsies. I caught my claw in the covers and she was tryin to get my claw out of the covers. I TOLD HER to leave it alone but she did not listen to me, so you know what I did? I gave her the biggest HISS in my repertory. She listened after that, and she let me get my own claw unstuck.
