Giving Thanks
On the drive in to work this morning, I passed the figure of a solidarity shape of a orange tabby cat on the side of the road that had been silenced by some passing motorist. How sadden I was by the sight of this. My heart breaks for all of those animals that are out there without a loving home to call their own. I am thankful for all the rescues that do go on to help animals in need, and I am especially thankful that so many of us have been able to help in these causes whether by monetary means or by taking in a homeless kitty.
I feel blessed by the 5 lives I have been able to save and I am deeply thankful each day that my fur babies are safe and healthy, pampered and loved. Please remember all of those with a small prayer who by no choice of their own are looking for their place in someone's heart.
To all of our friends have a wonderful Thanksgiving with those you love the most.....Purrssss....

Purrs to you Abby. Happy Thanksgiving. I am so glad Momma found me and took me in before I was like that cat. Hello handsome Ping!
ReplyDeleteThat is a story that wrings our hearts. Every kitty here was in that position before the mom adopted us. Unwanted, unloved, no home. Happy Thanksgiving, dear friends, we hope you had a wonderful day!
ReplyDeleteThanks for reposting this. It's a reminder that we house kitties have so much to be thankful for.
ReplyDeleteAwwww how sad for that poor angel orange kitty :-(

oh Abby, I'm so happy you reprinted that post because it's a bootiful one and a good reminder to all of us.
ReplyDeleteYep, that happens way too often.
ReplyDeleteSo sad, I feel exactly the same way!!! I will hold my boys extra close tonight and definitely say a prayer for the too many kitties out there who are less fortunate.
ReplyDeleteHi Abby yes indeed we are lucky kitties. Sometimes Mom sees kitties and puppies who are only allowed outside and she worries so much about them.
