Boo is such a shy girl. She would be happier to be an only cat. She gets along with the other cats, but they pick on her until she gets angry and lashes out at them. She would prefer not to be hassled. She generally spends her day in the closed master bedroom where she can remain undisturbed. When I go in and sit with her she is a different cat. She talks to me and rolls and plays. She wants my attention so badly. She doesn't get it when Abby is nearby because Abby lets her know that I am her purrson and her's alone. It's a tug of war. All the time. But Boo is such a gentle soul and so quiet and girly. Maybe that is part of dilemma, the others all have pretty big personalities and Boo is on the quiet side.
There was a cat named Boo here before us who was just like that. She was a highway rescue. TBT found her a "only cat" forever home after a few months.

ReplyDeletePoor Boo! Sometimes I think both Binga and I would prefer to be only kitties (Boodie likes other cats better than humans), but we are both pretty assertive.
ReplyDeleteAww, poor Boo. Annie wasn't gentle, except with me, but it's definitely tough on the cat when they'd rather be the only one in the house. Smooches to her.

Awww, What a sweetie Boo is. I'm curious as to how long you have had her. Do you think in time they'll tolerate each other? I know you are experienced with multiple cats whereas I am not, but I just feel so bad for her to have to be confined to a bedroom and not able to move around the house. I do hope things change in time.

Oh Boo we understand perfectly. Some of us feel the same way. Mewmew is dying to come in the house but she just can't make herself do it. Kitties are all different. Guess it all depends on how they were treated as kids. Take care.
