Well trying to access a post I created on my iPhone didn't work. So I will update through a new posting. We got to the ER this morning at 6:45AM. The overnight DR said that she wanted to keep Abby until their 8AM closing because she was breathing like she hoped. So hopes were immediately dashed when I thought we were going to be able to pick her up and leave. It was a long excruciating hour and when 8AM rolled around the DR said she thought we could transport her to her normal Vet instead of a specialist. While taking her out to her normal Vet, her breathing increased and I could see her becoming stressed. Her Vet saw her almost immediately and said her breathing was up and she put her on oxygen but she wants us to get the proper diagnosis and so we have to take her to see a specialist to get an electrocardiogram. That will tell us exactly what is ailing her heart. She was diagnosed with CHF which is congestive heart failure with some underlying cardiomyopathy. But we don't know until we do the testing what is going on. So things are definitely urgent but hopefully we are not talking about critical levels. Although if you can't breath without oxygen I am not sure what the solution to that is, and believe me right now I am not sure I want to know that answer. We are working to stabilize her. The Vet just called they have an opening with the Specialist so we're headed off to the next step.
More updates to follow and I can update now with my phone ... picture quality is terrible but I will take as many pictures of her as I can. Hug your babies each and every day you can. Thank you all again for your purrs.
We're sending our very best purrs and prayers to Abby!
