This is almost too hard for me to look at.
This photo was taken two days prior to Abby's initial attack of CHF.
She loved being out on the back screen porch.
But her Vet said that HCM does not mix well with heat.
So that's the end of Abby's halcyon days.
Abby, I love your little toes pushing apart in this photo. You are so gorgeous pretty girl!
ReplyDeleteP.S. Mama told me you had a pretty good day yesterday so I purred in happiness but always healing purrs for you.
ReplyDeleteAwww. Purrs to you, Abby - you look so happy and bright eyed here!
ReplyDeletePurrs and purrayers for your pretty tuxie girl.
ReplyDeleteHappy Tuxie Tuesday, Abby. XOXO
Breathe. In Out. One day at a time...
ReplyDeleteWhat a lovely setting, such a beauteous ladycat.
ReplyDeleteP.S. Did you know that in some dictionaries, the first definition of 'halcyon' is 'tranquil'?
ReplyDeleteHer carefree youth has passed, but she is having a different 'halcyon' time with you now. Safe, peaceful, tranquil.
Abby looks purry happy laying there.
ReplyDeleteKeep sending (((purrs)))
ReplyDeleteThat is a beautiful picture. Whether she can go to that spot again or not, I'm sure she's happy with her mom's company, that's enough to warm her in the right ways.
ReplyDeletePoor sweet girl. I'll send you some of my warming RUMBLEPURRS - they only feel warm, they don't cause any harm.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful :)
ReplyDeleteYou can have as much fun inside Abby.
Purrs Tillie and Georgia,
Treasure,Tiger,JJ and Julie
Gorgeous girl! smoochies, honey pie. xoxo
ReplyDeleteWhat a lovely photo. Whether she can go outside again or not, she's spending more quality days with you,and that's the important thing.
ReplyDeleteWhat a nice photo! We are relieved Abby is still holding on. Although she won't be able to do all she did before, she can still have a good life.
ReplyDelete(Our mom must be feeling her age too!)

ReplyDeleteYes the sweet memories. Love from all of us
ReplyDeleteWhat an exquisite photo that is with Abby watching you so intently. Hold on to those memories. Purrs and hugs to all, Lily Olivia, Misty May, Mauricio, Giulietta, Fiona, Astrid, Lisbeth and Calista Jo
ReplyDeleteYou've given Abby an incredible tribute just by writing from the heart how much you loved her. So many animals never have what Abby had with you. She knew she was loved, and felt secure in her life.
ReplyDeleteAnimals have basic needs-- food, water, shelter. But Love! Being Loved isn't a required need in the Animal Kingdom. And when they receive Love from us, and are able to comprehend we give it unconditionally, they are forever transformed, often rising to a higher emotional level that enables them to give Love in return.
There is no question you and Abby shared a soul-deep bond. But while she has left this earth, like Belle said, she is still with you. Spiritual Bonds are not broken with death. Our souls continue to recognize one another and respond to each other.
Life is more than physical earth time. Life is Forever when our souls are touched as deeply as Abby touched yours.
In years to come you may find yourself responding to another cat the way you did to Abby. It may be that she has returned to you in another body. I've had it happen with three cats. Believe me, when Abby returns to you, she will let you know. Sincerest condolences on your heartbreak.
