Miss Gracie
~~~
Our Grace is such a lovely little ball of fluff. But she is so skittish. She has lived with us since 2005 but she has never shed the fear she experienced of life outside. I have no idea what caused this great fear but someone left her abandoned in front of the ACA in our county, which is where we rescued her from. She knew somehow if she kept begging someone (us) would come along and bring her home. We are so glad those many years ago we were able to rescue her, she is a joy and so sweet.
I completely understand Miss Gracie. I am still a little skittish myself but no one dropped me at a shelter. I was alone in Mama's condo complex until she located the source of my little mews.
ReplyDeleteAs skittish as Miss Gracie is, I know she knows how much you have done for her.
ReplyDeleteLife as a feral is terribly frightening so who knows what awful experience Miss Gracie had during that time? Poor girl but the good news is, she now has a wonderful home where she thoroughly loved. xoxo
ReplyDeleteWe are happy Gracie is in a safe and happy home.She may be skittish, but she knows she is in a good place :)
ReplyDeleteI am glad you were rescued from being feral and have such a loving home Gracie.
ReplyDeleteGracie sounds just like our Zoey. She has lived here for 5 years but is still skittish of humans.
ReplyDeleteYea Gracie! as Leader Otis would say...you were saved from being a Limbo Kitty to coming into the Promised Land...warm, safe, dry and loved. I am fearful and have been here 2 years...We believe I must have been feral at one time...we think I am between 5-7 years old now. I still do not get in a lap nor willingly allow anyone to pick me up.
ReplyDeleteOur Lizzie sounds like your Grace. Whatever was in her from birth, along with whatever mistreated her before we found them, means they'll never quite be comfortable and confident. But we also know they are so much better off with us.
ReplyDeleteI never new Gracie's story. She is soooo beautiful and so lucky to have her home with and the Daddycat and the other kitties. I'm sorry she's never gotten over whatever bad things happened but what a blessing that she knows love.
ReplyDeleteGlad Gracie has a home where she is accepted and loved just as she is.
ReplyDeleteGracie is very purrty. She looks a bit like our Milou!
ReplyDeleteGracie is a very lucky kitty.
ReplyDeleteWe love you Gracie and are thankful you are safe now. xxxooo
