This is our front fountain. This photo was taken during an extremely cold spell on Dec 15, 2010. But we aren't too far from that today. We had wind chills in the teens here in Northern Florida. I know that is not extreme by others being impacted by frigid weather but for us, well our Southern tail feathers are being froze off!

Just an update on our Dad! The Doctor was well pleased with results he was able to achieve and feels he will get the function back in his shoulder he had before. We were able to go home after Dad woke up which is amazing considering this wasn't for a torn toenail or something very minor. Dad is doing OK for the day after major shoulder surgery. He will be immobile for awhile so he can heal up. Thank you for all of your purrs.
My heart goes out to your mom sweet girl. I had rotator cuff surgery and it's not easy - you probably have to do almost everything for him. HUGS!

ReplyDeleteWe are sorry the COLD has come to your part of the world. We are used to it here and expect it every Winter. It is so much more serious in warmer climates. We purr that many things(such as orange trees) will not be badly affected.

ReplyDeleteMowzers, that's a very fast return home, indeed! We're so glad all went well. Except for the colds. Our mom was abed the entire time for this last one: -2 degrees here! She was totally out of it, MOL! Daddy complained though...enough for both of them!
ReplyDeleteCold is all relative to where you are and how you acclimate. That is very cold for Florida, so we won't minimize what you are going through!
ReplyDeleteSpring needs to come fast...everywhere!
Cold is indeed relative, and it's more than a little relatively cold right now. We're grateful to have an electric throw to help us warm up tonight!
ReplyDeleteWe read your update on FB earlier and hope that things get back on track with Dad's recovery.
I apologize for not being here for you and missing this. It makes me sad but I am happy that he is better after enduring another surgery. Blessings on him, you and the babies.
ReplyDeleteThat's so good to hear about the healing and shocking to see icicles in Florida. Wishing all of you warm purrs of comfort.
