EDITED UPDATE:
I've written quite a few posts for future posting.
It's crunch time.
Time to hunker down and shelter in place.
The entire east coast of Florida is
under mandatory evacuations.
I live in a more inland county, but it is still
considered 'coastal' but my property is not
within an evacuation zone. (Of course
that did not stop homes being flooded up to
their roofs during Irma -- a once in a 150 yr
occurrence they told us, afterwards & people
are still rebuilding from THAT!)
Anyway, power outages will happen.
The power companies are all geared up with
massive amounts of men & women who will
help reattach the power, but with the number of
people who may be impacted it will take
some time to get it all accomplished.
Lots of trees will fall and take down power lines
in addition to the winds.
So, I like so many others along the path
may be out of touch except by our phones.
Please keep us in your prayers.
Tuesday evening our local conditions will
go downhill and Wednesday it is reported to be
the worst for us. They are concentrating on this as a
coastal storm, incumbent upon the exact track
Dorian takes.
I dare say, since they retire names after extreme storms
Dorians name will never be used again.
But for those of us who have had a brush with
him he will be a storm we will always judge all others by.
