I'm not sure how impactful it is,
but perhaps it's just a reminder.
That little scratcher remains.
The inserts have been replaced many times
since this was taken.
But someplace on the outer contours of
the plastic edges Abby once touched it.
Somehow,
there is joy and pain in that.

ReplyDeleteEverything has memories. Even now I still find a ginger hair where I know I have vacuumed countless times. I prefer to believe that one or both of the boys have been to visit.
