Annabelle's Antics

She is so floofy in this photo.
My teeny tiny gorgeous ball of fluff!

And I was looking through some older
photos and I came upon this one.
My old maple.
It got taken down over 5 years ago.
Every time there was a storm it dropped massive limbs.
The roots were too close to the house, and I recall
that when it got taken down they told me it
was rotten on the inside and it would have fallen.
Every fall the leaves would make a huge mess
on the ground. I miss the tree, but not all the
maintenance that came with it.
Still it was a beautiful tree.

  1. What a pretty shot of Annabelle! It's sad to lose those old trees. My human had a nice one that got some sort of beetles and had to be removed.

  2. Lovely pic of you Annabelle :)
Good thing the tree is gone as it was not in good condition.
Bet it was lovely when it was healthy.

  8. Such a cutie. We had 5 maples and they all died and had to be removed about 5 years ago.

  11. Annabelle, are you getting your winter coat already (though I can’t imagine you needing a winter coat in Florida). :)

  12. You are the loveliest floofy kitty ever!!
We've had issues with trees, here, too. Sometimes they just have to be taken down, but it sounds like you had some beauty to remember it with.

Today we had a very violent thnerstorm, andd just aftger petcretary got done with mowing the lawn and cleaning up, all the walnuts got shaken down and we lost at least 5 limbs off of that one tree. What a mess. Another one fell on the back shed. At least the house is unscathed.

  13. Just reading this morning about the Sequoia's being threatened
by the Western fires ... yes, sometimes the trees must fall, but how sad when any life departs.
