16 years ago I started doing this blog.
I had just gotten a digital camera,
and I had adopted Abby about 6 weeks earlier.
I had been doing a 'diary' of Abby's adoption and how
she was (not) fitting in with the 3 amigos.
But I got the idea that maybe I could combine the photography
and being online and keep an online diary.
There was no cat blogging in those days.
Blogs weren't that big of a thing in those days either.
But I found Timothy Dickens and seeing he was a tuxie
with a unique voice just gave me a lot of courage to start
up a blog mainly for Abby.
It's always been Abby.
Soon there was a cadre of cat bloggers,
and blogging has ebbed and flowed over the years.
I will keep on because....Abby.
I will always be her voice.
I will always
keep
her
alive.
On this blog.
It's not meant to be maudlin, it's meant as a
testament to the love we had,
and that I now deeply miss.
But, it's her story
which now has included Gracie, and my sweet
Annabelle.
So here's to 16 going on 17....
