Thursday in the Garden

:::::meow::::::
The Pyracantha tree is often called Firethorn, and if you ever get stabbed by one of it's vicious thorns you will realize why.The nasty thorns offer protection from trespassers and other undesirable intruders and is regularly planted as a pretty defense.

I wanted to share with you the cycle of the pyrcantha
This little round red berry arrives during the winter months.
It feeds the birds well.

Then in spring a lovely tiny white flower appears
which the bees dearly love.
Spreading their wonderful pollen from flower to flower.

The small tiny buds.

And finally the end of the season.
The tiny white flowers fade from sight until next year
where the cycle will repeat itself again.
