Happy Mancat Monday to efurryone!
Well guess what kittens?
It's now June.
June in our neck of the woods is Hurricane Season.
This year all the notable weather gurus are
saying it is going to be a very active and
volatile season for the Eastern Seaboard.
The weather pattern again this year is for
a cool El Nino which causes the Atlantic to be
warmer than normal.
That is the perfect condition for the formation of storms.
They are also predicting there to be more storms
and because of the warmer water for them to be more
intense.
The other bad component is they expect these
storms to come closer to landfall within the USA,
especially the Eastern Seaboard.
There is already a tropical disturbance within the
Gulf of Mexico which is expected to cross over
Florida later this week. We are expecting lots of
rain with this one, especially in mid and southern
Florida.
We hope all of our furfriends within striking distance
are keeping their supplies and being prepared.
We hope everyone stays safe but we know
it has been 8 years since a major Hurricane has had
a direct hit on the USA, we know it is bound to happen.
Somewhere.
Please be prepared and watch your local
weather for updates if you live in an area that
could possibly be impacted.
And...
our deepest prayers go out to all of those
who are being impacted by terrible late season
tornadoes across our mid west.
