Please keep all of those who have been affected by the massive fires in southern Georgia in your prayers. There is a fire that is burning the size of the city of Atlanta (some 70,000 acres) and it is very bad. The conditions in Southern Georgia and Northern Florida is so very dry; it is like a tenderbox any little thing sparks a fire. We've only had 3 GOOD rains in our area since last November according to our local weatherman. Every day it just gets hotter and the ground grows more suspectible to fire danger.Yesterday a fire sprung up not too many miles from where we live. It covered 45 acres. There was also a fire burning up in Jacksonville of 25 acres. I would not let the cats even go outside on the porch yesterday because the air was filled with smoke. We pray for the safety of all, especially those brave firefighters who have been battling this fire in Georgia for two weeks with no end in sight. I feel sad for those that have lost their homes, people and animals alike.
