Mom told us she is takin ofur our bloggie...she got this new 'toy' for Chrissmousey and finally decided (hey Momma it's only February!) started playin wif it. She can scan in her old pictures. Here is one from her and Daddy's honeymoon. Goodness it must be ancient...yep it was taken in October 1989. See the purrty rainbow? Momma says dat there is a funny story about der honeymoon -- ahhh yeah, ya fink so Momma? Well let me let her tell you.
After our wedding we left the reception around 7PM (from an afternoon wedding) headed out driving towards Niagara Falls(from Florida). We thought we'd drive a few hours and stop. So close to Midnight we were outside of Charlotte, NC and we stopped for gas and decided we would spend the night. We both got out of our rental car (new car -- not familiar with how it all worked -- this is important) and my new husband left the keys in the car and when I got out in my short sleeves (it was cold) to go to the restroom the car locked itself. So on our honeymoon night we spent it outside(because the attendant would not let us into his locked area) waiting for a locksmith to come and unlock our car, freezing. Once he did arrive it was well after 3AM, so we decided to was foolish to get a room, so we drove off until my husband could not drive anymore and we stopped in a rest stop and slept for a few hours and then headed off again. WE made it all the way to Niagara Falls that day and then the "honeymoon" suite we got on the American side of the falls had a leaky hot tub, so we had to leave. We finally got a great hotel on the Canadian side and from there had a less troublesome honeymoon -- I am so glad I got to visit the Falls. They were awesome!
That was a story worth telling. Thanks for sharing.
