Mom was teasing me while I was laying in her lap. With the cold weather she keeps a warm blankie on her lap and I curl up in it on top of her. She was using the blanket as a shield and she was playing "under the covers" which Boo loves. But I am not Boo. I got real upset and when she removed her hands from beneath the covers I attacked her. I was so mad. I couldn't see straight and I bit and clawed my Momma. In my rage I didn't know what I was doing. I didn't know I hurt her. I...I...I really didn't mean to. She had to go and put some medicine on it because she didn't want an infection. I felt so bad when I calmed down and realized what I had done. I tried apologizing over and over. Momma don't play like that with me, you know I don't take teasing well. I am really insecure and you know I am. I do no want to hurt you and I know I did and I'm sorry.

ReplyDeleteJust make ure the Mom watches closely for ay infection from your attack. Once I attacked Mom's head and put the bad bitey on it (she accidentally closed a window on my tail and I freaked) - she needed some big time antibiotics for that.

It sounds to me that you are like my roommate, Binga, and get overstimulated very easy, Abby. I'm sure your human understands that you lost control. My human is very careful to avoid getting Binga too riled up - normally she is way into being with humans.

Abby, I know that feeling becsuse occasionally I also have attacked my mommy when she didn't pay attention to my thumping tail and wild eyes! I felt very very badly about it too but mommy forgave me and said she would try hard not to disobey my tail any more.

Abby, I do the same thing, once I bit Mommy's finger so hard the knuckle swelled up like a sausage! I felt really awful I did that but Mommy still loves me lots.

ReplyDeleteDid you know I put the bitey on my mom's finger...I like to play bitey, but I just sunk a fang deep into her finger and she had to go to the urgent care center. She still loves me lots.
We have done it too Abby - sometimes it's as if you're dreaming that you are out hunting and unfortunately the prey is your mom's hand!!

Oh Abby, I'm sure your mama knows you didn't mean to hurt her. As she probably knows, sometimes cats will use their pointy bits on us humans - it's just one of the risks of living with felines. Fortunately the snuggles and purrs make up for it!

Oh, dear, Abby, it sounds as if it's partly your mom's fault, if she knew you don't like to be teased. But you shouldn't have attacked her over it. We hope she is okay.
