Mom has been worrying over me like a wet hen.
Not a pretty vision I know.
You see I have been having some strange episodes.
On or about March 29th (Mom recorded this I don't know why)
I started crying out in pain.
I would be sitting in her lap and I would get up awkwardly
and then I would stand there unsteadily and moan.
She tried finding any spot on me that would make
me cry but I never would.
Every day this happened.
But, there were NO other signs.
I was eating and drinking just like clockwork.
I did all my personal business like a champ.
I still jumped and moved around like a lady of a certain age.
I slept in all my usual spots.
Nothing unusual at all.
But every night I would do the same crying out in pain.
Mom was worried, really worried and she started thinking about taking me to the Vet.
EEK!
Then all of a sudden it dawned on her.
*she's a little slow*
One day she was walking on her treadmill and I got on.
She turned it on thinking it was on .5mph, but it was on 3.0mph.
I got swept down to the end of the treadmill and was caught between the belt and
the wall.
She immediately stopped the thing and of course she picked me up and held me
and comforted me and kissed me all over.
She saw nothing wrong and I acted like nothing was wrong.
But now she believes I got a boo boo from that and it showed up a day or so later.
I did not cry out the last two nights, so she thinks I am better.
All I can say is she better not try to get me
to do that stupid treadmill again.
yikes, that sounds scary. crying out in pain is never a good thing.
ReplyDeleteGood thing your Mommy is observant and on her toes! We hope your ouchy goes away fast, quick, and in a hurry! xoxo
ReplyDeleteOh my! That must have been scary too! Poor Abby! Sometimes I walk on the treadmill on the handles so that I do not have to go running.

ReplyDeleteWe have nefer seen a treadmill but it sounds like an evil thing. Does the Mom get on it as punishment?
ReplyDeleteYikes, poor Abby! Those treadmills can be treacherous. Melly accidentally took a ride on mine once and was NOT a happy camper.
ReplyDeleteNow, Abby, until they make special-for-cats treadmills, you stay away from Mom's OK? Hope you are going to be fine soon.
ReplyDeleteOooh, poor you. We hope there are no more boo boo's and you are all better now. Mummy does a funny walk when she gets off a treadmill too :)xx
ReplyDeleteAbby, I am so sorry you had a treadmill accident! My human goes somewhere else for her treadmill workouts so fortunately I have never encountered one of them. I hope you are healed up quickly!

The lesson to learn is GET OFF THE TREADMILL! You end up going nowhere and all it gives you is a pain in the butt. Hope you are better, Abby Sweet xox

ReplyDeleteYou poor sweetie. That exercise is really scary fur sure!
ReplyDeleteOMC Abby walking 30mph must have been a little fast for your itty bitty delicate legs. Mom has has sore muscles from riding her recumbent bike to fast too.
ReplyDeleteHugs and thank goodness your Mom figured things out.

ReplyDeleteWe are glad you are not feeling owie any more Abby. Treadmills are evil. I prefer to sit and watch our mum and dad when they are using them.

Oh my gosh that is a terrible accident!!!! We hope you are better now Abby.
ReplyDeleteDear Abby,
ReplyDeleteYour mom is wise to know that treadmills are silly human things, not for cats! Unlike them, we know how to get exercise at all times.
