pessimist ever discovered the
secrets of the stars,
sailed to an uncharted land,
or
opened a new heaven to the human spirit.

The first picture was taken on
a cold day in February of this year.
That is how the Atlantic normally looks.
The second picture was taken July 2011 as Hurricane Irene
passed by a few hundred miles off of our
coast.
The ocean was much angrier.
Same pier.
