Sometimes
surrender means
giving up
trying to understand
and becoming comfortable
with not
knowing.
~Eckhart Tolle
This morning ritual filled with such strong memories...
This morning another bag of food to open and no Abby to help me.
I see this face so clearly right where she sits on the kitchen counter waiting.
I love you Abby

Giving up isn't really giving in, it's just letting your heart enjoy the loving memories.
ReplyDeleteYes, it's hard to get used to one not being where they'd been for so long.
ReplyDeleteI really can appreciate and go with what Brother Brian said. I like that and I agree with him. Purrs are still needed for our Brian.

ReplyDeleteOur Mr. Kelly went to the Bridge almost 5 years ago, and his human staff still touches the box with his ashes every night and says "Good night, Big Guy." We understand, and hope good memories of Abby's life will help give you some comfort.
ReplyDeleteA poignant one today dear friend and thinking of you.
ReplyDeleteThere will always be things that make you think of and remember Abby. We think that is a good thing, and believe that someday you will feel comfort when that happens and not sad. Purrs and hugs, Lily Olivia, Misty May, Mauricio, Giulietta, Fiona, Astrid, Lisbeth and Calista Jo
