#TBT

C.2005

I had placed the string you see in front of Abby,
which was from my bathrobe
around the door handle in the bathroom.
When I was getting ready for work in the morning
Abby liked to play with it.

***
She eventually played so much with it she cut it in
two....
That remaining part is still attached to the bathroom
door handle. I can't bear to remove it.
I think of her when I see it.
I touch it and remember.

  3. Very sweet photo. I understand your not wanting to get rid of the other part. I still have Phoebe's little coat hanging by the door :( XO

  4. It’s often the small things that remind us the most. As Tungsten aged, she had a little trouble with her jaw. It never caused her pain, and she could eat just fine. But when she yawned, her jaw made a tiny ‘click’. Now, whenever I hear a similar sound, no matter where I am, I think of her.

Abby knows how much you love her.

  8. It is a good thing ta kee reminders of the Cats Who Have Gone Before. We have some toys from our previous housemates. "Softy-Mouse" is probly 40 years old. The funny yellow ball that unscrews so TBT can put fresh nip in it is almost 50 years old. It came in a box of Hartz Mountain Catnip once when TBT was YOUNG!
