ReplyDeleteI had a feeling when Cammie was going to go: she was becoming more frail. It took her second stroke to tell me it was time. And Raleigh, too. I don't know if it's better to know when they are getting ready or not...
ReplyDeleteI am thinking of what John said here. I remember all of my babies demeanors when and just before illness took them. Like him, not sure which is the better way for us, but I suspect knowing is the better option.

We think to those to who we had to say goodbye. Mr Buttons so suddenly. Years before Amber the same and Stinker in my arms. Then Buddy Budd clearly saying he was ready with quiet dignity. No matter how, or when, it is so hard. We remember and we send all who have the same thoughts support
