WHOA!
Did we have a big day this week.
We had a huge dead tree removed.
This is a before.
See the tallest pine in the middle
of the photo?
It's dead and over the years many
limbs have fallen off of it
for Mom to take care of.
From another angle.
A before shot.
See the man way way WAY
up on the tree?
Thankfully it was a beautiful day.
And there goes the top!
Here he is preparing for another cut.
Almost there...
And down it goes.
All done and the above and below are the afters.
Just a pile of shavings now.
They did an amazing job.
Fascinating to watch them work.

I'm glad you got that tree down. Dead trees are hazards, even the ones not near the house.
ReplyDeleteDead trees are dangerous and can fall any time.
ReplyDeleteAnnabelle, you watched how it was fell? Purrs and hugs!
That was a good job well done!
ReplyDeleteHow cool that was!
ReplyDeleteGood too that the dead tree will not cause any problems now :)
Purrs, Julie

ReplyDeleteIt's sad to have a tree die and have to cut it down, but it had obviously gone to its heavenly garden some time before. Its removal was completed efficiently.
ReplyDeleteImpressive job ! We're glad you don't have to fear that dead tree anymore. Purrs
ReplyDeleteIt’s probably best that the tree came down. They did a good job!!
ReplyDeleteThose tree men sure know how to make short work of a tree!
ReplyDeleteWhile dead trees can provide shelter and even food (bugs) for some creatures, the hazard factor needed to be addressed, now you are all safe from klunking limbs. Phew!
Tree work really is fun to watch
