It's been a stressful week.
A few months ago Ping developed a hematoma
on his left ear.
Since he has a heart murmur, he couldn't get
steroids, so unfortunately he just had to deal
with it longer than he would have, had he been
able to have the steroids. He was miserable,
and he kept scratching his ear.
Then that caused the ear to get infected.
Then he got vertigo because of the infection.
So we ended up back at the Vet, which
stresses him out to no end.
But, he was so pitiful, and I was so worried
they were going to tell me that it was
better to let him go.
Thankfully the Vet said that there is a lot of
spark in Ping, even at his advanced age,
and that they would get him all cleared up.
So it's been a few days and he is not miserable
but he is still a bit unstable on his feet.
I do believe, just like his Mom, he is deaf
now in his left ear, but that's something
he can compensate for, just like his Mom!
So please keep my sweet boy in your prayers.
I'm sending lots of purrs to Ping. You too, because I know how worried you are.
