Yikes, the largest birds we get are crows! Though we do see the occasional buzzard/kite. We love your selfie. Really shows off your stunning colourings.

Whoa! We have the occasional hawk visitor, but I've never actually seen one.
ReplyDeleteWe have hawks too (sparrowhawks) and they have decimated the small bird population. I am very sad because last year they bred well and we had the most small birds we have seen in a long time. Now they are few and far between.
ReplyDeleteI wonder if that's a cyclical thing. If the hawks feed on so many birds that their food supply is depleted, do they then not breed for a year or two (not enough food to provide for young) or do they move on?
