Yikes, the largest birds we get are crows! Though we do see the occasional buzzard/kite. We love your selfie. Really shows off your stunning colourings. Purrs ERin
We have hawks too (sparrowhawks) and they have decimated the small bird population. I am very sad because last year they bred well and we had the most small birds we have seen in a long time. Now they are few and far between.
I wonder if that's a cyclical thing. If the hawks feed on so many birds that their food supply is depleted, do they then not breed for a year or two (not enough food to provide for young) or do they move on?

Whoa! We have the occasional hawk visitor, but I've never actually seen one.

DeleteOoh, that's rather exciting, Annabelle--for a safe, indoor kitty that is.
ReplyDeleteOh, goodness! We think We would be rather scared of a hawk. But you are such a brave kitty!
ReplyDeleteHawks are awful. Glad you are safe inside. XO
ReplyDeleteAnother reason to watch from INSIDE, Annabelle...

ReplyDeleteI see hawks sometimes too, Annabelle. ~Ernie
ReplyDeleteYikes! They are pretty but we hate it when they snatch a small cat or kitten.
ReplyDeleteYikes stay safe inside!
ReplyDeleteMom loves raptors, Annabelle.
ReplyDeleteOh-oh! Best to not try and catch one of those...you will not be successful but the hawk will be!
ReplyDeleteGorgeous eyes!
