Bird Watching


That's a B-I-G bird.
(We have hawks in our yard)

  1. Yikes, the largest birds we get are crows! Though we do see the occasional buzzard/kite. We love your selfie. Really shows off your stunning colourings.

  3. We have hawks too (sparrowhawks) and they have decimated the small bird population. I am very sad because last year they bred well and we had the most small birds we have seen in a long time. Now they are few and far between.

    1. I wonder if that's a cyclical thing. If the hawks feed on so many birds that their food supply is depleted, do they then not breed for a year or two (not enough food to provide for young) or do they move on?
