If you would like to light a candle for Gracie you can at the above link.
Gracie not feeling so hot after getting released yesterday. It was a very long 24 hrs for her.
She is feeling much better today.
Watching and sitting with me while I work.
Watching her sassy little sister.

Brought Gracie home last night after a long talk with the vet. Prognosis does not look good but we have to wait for the results of the analysis of the fluids that they withdrew from her abdominal walls. She has a pleural effusion. Gracie ate when she got home and her breathing while a bit elevated was not alarming. My biggest challenge will be the pills since her Dad only has one arm. I worried about her overnight but she was there to greet me this morning and wanted breakfast. Food was something they could not get in her. Managed to get her pills down. It wasn't pretty but it got done. She has been bright eyed and she breathing is relaxed and she seems comfortable. She drank for her fountain. The vet and I agreed to treat the cat not whatever her underlying diagnosis will be. She will give us our cues as to how to proceed with her care. But today seems to be a good day, and I learned with Abby to take those and cherish them. So maybe for the next 24-48 hours we can suspend belief and pretend it is life as normal. The moment will arrive soon enough with reality. There are already preplanned posts for a bit. I will update on Gracie each day, but please keep her in your prayers and purrs. Thank each one of you for all the supportive thoughts they touch us, each one deeply.
